This Privacy Policy explains how the "Watchly" mobile application ("App") collects, processes, stores, and protects your personal data. By using the App, you agree to the terms set forth in this policy.

2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account Information When you register for the App, the following information is collected:
- Email address
- Name / username
- Profile photo (optional)
- Identity credentials provided via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In
2.2 Usage Data
- Lists of movies and TV shows you watch or plan to watch
- Episode tracking progress
- Ratings and reviews you submit
- Custom lists you create
- Users you follow and your social interactions
- In-app language and notification preferences
2.3 Technical Data
- Device model and operating system version
- App version
- Push notification token (via APNs)
- Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports (via Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics)
2.4 Purchase Data When you purchase Watchly Premium, the transaction is processed directly through the Apple App Store. We do not collect, view, or store your credit card or payment information. Only your premium entitlement status (active/inactive) is associated with your account. Watchly Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
3. How We Use Your Data
The collected data is used for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account
- To provide movie/TV show tracking features
- To enable social features (following, sharing, comments)
- To send push notifications when new episodes are released
- To verify your Premium entitlements
- To improve App performance and user experience
- To fulfill legal obligations
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services. Their own privacy policies apply:

5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely and encrypted on the Supabase infrastructure. As long as your account remains active, your data is preserved. Only authorized system processes and the developer (in limited capacity) have access to the data.
6. User Rights
Under GDPR and KVKK, you have the following rights:
- Request access to your data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data (available in-app via "Settings > Delete Account" with a single tap)
- Object to the processing of your data
- Request data portability

7. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account from within the App via "Settings > Delete Account". When your account is deleted, the following will be irreversibly removed from our system:
- Your profile information
- All your lists, reviews, and ratings
- Your social connections
- Your follow relationships
- Your Premium entitlement, if any
Important: If you have purchased Watchly Premium and then delete your account, your Premium access will be lost together with your account. Because the Premium entitlement is linked to your Watchly account (not solely to your Apple ID), the "Restore Purchases" function will not restore Premium for a deleted account. If you create a new account afterwards, you will need to purchase Premium again. Refunds for this scenario must be requested directly from Apple.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If we become aware of such a case, the relevant data will be deleted immediately.
9. Notifications
Push notifications are sent only with your consent. You can manage your notification preferences from within the App and from your device settings.
10. Policy Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated when necessary. For significant changes, you will be notified via in-app notification or email. The current version will always be published on this page.
